I ADORE my job, but I’m not oblivious to the fact that sometimes the thought of family photos isn’t exactly positive. It can be stressful worrying about the kids’ attitudes, feeding times, outfits, and schedules.
Let me put your heart at ease my saying that chaos is appreciated here! Life is chaotic, but the most authentic love is found even in the midst of all of the crazy!
Our time together won’t be about taking picture perfect photos (although I always get them!). It’ll be about taking photos that tell your story perfectly!
It’s about the way Dad looks and Mom, how Mom’s eye crinkle when looking at her sweet babies, and just how much the kiddos love them both in return.

The million dollar question. Here are some things to remember when picking out your family outfits:
COORDINATE - Coordinate, don’t match. This might mean picking out a color palette and sticking with it for everybody’s outfit! Creating a cohesive group outfit where no two outfits are exactly the same can really make your photos look magical! We can work together to figure this out!
COMFORT - Wear outfits that you can sit on the floor or dance with your littles in! I keep the whole family moving to keep kiddos engaged, so having cute outfits that don’t require adjustments every minute will keep the good vibes rolling so we can have FUNNN!!
BE YOU - While you this is a super special occasion and you should all definitely want to feel beautiful, it’s important to remember that these photos should display the kind of beautiful that your family is - not the kind of beautiful you’re supposed to be <3 If the dressiest your family ever is is in jeans, then let’s wear jeans!

VARIETY - My go-to recommendations for your locations are to go take photos in a wide-open park or in your home!
BE YOU - Much like what you wear, where you take photos can create a drastically different vibe! Taking photos at a park will allow us to run and keep the kiddos moving, while taking photos in your home can give off a cozier, low-key, and snuggly vibe! Where does your family feel closest to each other? What location fits who your family is?

The truth is that kids stain dress-shirts, they don’t like sitting still, and your 3 year old just hates having shoes on. AND I’M SO HERE FOR THAT!
